	ProGear Rods

The ProGear Series represents rods that are for anglers that typically fish on the 1 to 2 day charter trips. The blanks are made using the finest quality E-Glass available on the market, and we have them manufactured in Japan in order to keep cost down. All our ProGear rods come with CalStar Hypalon, Pacific Bay graphite reel seats with aluminum cushioned hoods and either Fuji stainless steel guides or Fuji’s New Concept guides on the 30 and 40 class rods.

These rods are hand assembled in our manufacturing plant in San Diego. All components and windings are done by skilled craftsmen. We use no machinery to produce our winding patterns.

Like our other lines of rods, you get a custom made fishing rod for the price of a pre-manufactured rod.

Want to customize your rod with custom colors? Add a different reel seat or change guides? Then give us a call or better yet, email us with your specific requirements and we will provide you with a quote within 24 hours. Depending on the changes made, there may be a slight price increase to due change in components selected. However, we do not charge any additional fee for this service some like other manufacturers. Most manufacturers don’t even offer this service.

We offer the ProGear Series in 15, 20, 25, 30 and 40 pound line class models. Each available in 7’ 7’6” and 8’.
